Principle
- It utilizes the principle of multi-effect evaporation. Generally, there are multiple evaporators connected in series. Starting from the first effect, incoming raw water is heated and evaporated by external steam, and the generated steam then enters the second-effect evaporator as heating steam, causing the raw water in the second effect to evaporate again. This process continues sequentially through each effect, with each effect repeating the evaporation-condensation step. In this way, the heating source for each subsequent effect comes from the steam generated by the previous effect, making full use of thermal energy and transforming the raw water into high-purity distilled water after multiple evaporation and condensation cycles.
Structural Components
- Evaporator: This is the core component, consisting of multiple evaporators, such as triple-effect, quadruple-effect, etc. Evaporators are typically made of stainless steel materials, offering excellent corrosion resistance and thermal conductivity. Inside the evaporator, there are heating chambers and evaporation chambers to ensure efficient water evaporation.
- Condenser: Used to condense the steam generated in the final effect into liquid water. It comes in various structural forms, such as shell-and-tube condensers and plate condensers, where a cooling medium (e.g., cooling water) removes heat from the steam, causing it to liquefy.
- Preheater: Before the raw water enters the evaporator, it is preheated using waste heat generated by the system through the preheater, improving energy utilization efficiency.
